Our Venue

Featuring an exquisite vaulted ceiling, this awe-inspiring waterfront venue boasts an open floor plan and spacious setting with grand windows overlooking Burnaby Lake.



Make the most of your remarkable event among the impressive vaulted ceiling and striking views of scenic Burnaby Lake and its extraordinary natural scenery. The Burnaby Lake Pavilion features 2,500 square feet and seating for 200 guests, along with a bright and open floor plan with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Christine Musgrave

Christine Musgrave

Christine Musgrave has worked for the City of Burnaby for more than 30 years in a variety of positions and departments. Most recently, she was the supervisor at Riverway Restaurant and is now the event expert extraordinaire at Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion and South Burnaby’s historic Alan Emmott Centre, while assisting with various events across the City. Her favourite part of the job? She loves the people she works with and enjoys helping her clients make sure their events are a great success. Helen McConaghy

Helen McConaghy

Helen McConaghy has worked with the City’s Food Services division for more than half her life. In that time, she has seen the department grow to include several restaurants and an expert catering department - which she now leads. Along with creating memorable events for her clients, Helen says her favourite part of the job is helping wedding couples on their big day, “and knowing you’re making their day as special as can be.” Helen can be reached at catering@burnaby.ca or 604-205-3026.

Maiwesh (Mai) Dossa has been leading the kitchen at the old-fashioned Ice Cream Parlour (also known as the ICP Café) for nearly two decades – garnering much acknowledgement and praise along the way.
Throughout the years, Mai has come by her experience and skills entirely through hard work and on-the-job training.  Along with the ICP Café, Mai also caters a remarkable number of City events and weddings throughout the year, including the Mayor’s Annual Appreciation Dinner.
